Professional Background

Decades of leadership, innovation, and hospitality excellence.

Tony Ramy has been working in the hospitality sector for decades. He graduated from the Grand Lycée Franco-Libanais and later earned a Business degree, Gestion des Entreprises et Management, from Saint Joseph University in 1996.

Soon after graduating, he started restructuring his family business “Ramy Holding” , by joining the management team of Al Sultan Brahim & Diwan Beirut group of restaurants, he oversaw the successful expansion of the restaurants in Lebanon and in the region.

His flair for the business and for recognizing emerging trends, in addition to his keen eye for structure, organization, and effective delegation, led him to launch and manage new and unique concepts in the hospitality sector in Lebanon and the Middle East, i.e. KSA, UAE, Qatar, Iraq and Egypt.  Such concepts include Al Falamanki group of restaurants, the legendary B018, B018 Classic, Trainstation, Bacalao, Teddy Quicks, and Mama Pita (USA).

Today, over two thousand persons are employed across the Chairman of Ramy Holding group of restaurants.

Al Sultan Brahim was awarded the Best Restaurant in the Arab World (2016–2020) by the League of Arab States.

In 2009, he joined the Syndicate of Owners of Restaurants, Cafés, Night-Clubs & Pastries in Lebanon, where he served as General Secretary. After leading many of the Syndicate’s achievements, he was elected as its President for two mandates from 2014 until 2018. In 2023, he was reelected unanimously by the General Assembly, and has become the Vice President of the Lebanese Federation for Tourism Syndicate.

Tony was awarded the Medal of Presidency of the Lebanese Republic in 2010 and voted as Hospitality’s “Man of the Year” by Hospitality News Middle East’s Industry Forecast 2016.

He was honored as one of Lebanon’s Hospitality Industry Leaders by the Lebanese American University in 2019. He is also a member of the Académie Nationale de Cuisine – France and was awarded by the Académie during the HORECA show in 2019 for his successful career.

During HORECA exhibition 2025, he was additionally recognized by Les Disciples d’Escoffier for his contributions to the hospitality sector and culinary excellence. An international prestigious global culinary association dedicated to promoting the traditions of French gastronomy and fostering excellence, discipline, and respect for culinary heritage around the world.

He also received the prestigious “F&B Personality of the Year” award from Hodema Consulting Services, also during HORECA 2025, the award highlighted Ramy’s outstanding contributions to the foundational pillars of the tourism and hospitality sector.

He is also committed to the Global Code of Ethics – United Nations World Tourism Organization.

Ties with journalists and members of the press have been strengthened with exposure in many publications (online and offline) and appearances on talk shows to promote the interests of the Food & Beverage industry.
